In 2009, Pepsi planted the flag. They invited people to join their movement to "refresh everything." In 2010 their are going to kick it up one big notch as they inspire and fuel people to take action and do what they always do at Pepsi--refresh the world.
Gillette Pepsi-Cola Companies is giving up to $100,000.00 to refresh their local communities and make the lives of those around us a little better. In 2010 they were asking their consumers; "what do you care about?" Whether it's helping to fund a health care initiative at a hospital in La Crosse, starting an education program with the Mankato Public Schools, planting a community garden in Rochester or stocking a local food bank in Decorah, Gillette Pepsi-Cola Companies is committed to the communities they serve and the individuals who live here. They want you to know they support what you care about.
AAMAN need a clear, constructive idea that can be put into action right away, the funding amount our idea will require (up to $5,000.00) and a detailed breakdown of how the funds will be used. The first 100 valid entries will be eligible for each grant distribution so we got our idea in early.
The Gillette Pepsi-Cola Companies will put together a committee of local youth leaders from high schools and universities to choose the best ideas that will receive a local Gillette Pepsi Refresh Grant. Once grants are distributed they will be following up with the recipients to see how their ideas are making their community and the lives of those around them better. Grants will be awarded twice; once in April and again in August. In November we will be showcasing all of the winning grant members and the successes they have achieved right here at www.gillettepepsicola.com. They will then be eligible to apply for addition grant money to further touch the lives and futures of those around them.
AAMAN was awarded $3,150.00 for our Clara Fields Multicultural Literacy Program. Thank you Pepsi!
In September 2010 AAMAN's Clara Fields Multicultural Literacy Program receive Target Corporation's Community Relations $2,000.00 Grant.
Reading is essential to a child's learning process. That's why Target awards grants to schools, libraries and nonprofit organizations to support programs such as after-school reading events and weekend book clubs. Together we're fostering a love of reading and encouraging children, preschool through third grade, to read together with their families. Thank you Target!
