Camp AAMAN 2008 and 2009 was a complete success. Camp AAMAN 2010 is proving to be even a bigger success. Camp AAMAN is a children's summer day camp operated by the African American Mutual Assistance Network, Inc. (AAMAN) a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 Community Service Organization. Our main goals are to provide affordable summer activities to needy families with children ages 4 to 12 and target illiteracy.
Camp AAMAN 2010 Session dates are Monday, June 21, 2010 through Friday, August 6, 2010. Camp AAMAN 2010 is open on weekdays only, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Counselors, Teachers and Directors are expected to be present for the entire camp day, and for the entire 7-week camp season. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
Compensation levels vary according to your education level, your experience working with diverse children in a variety of settings, and your leadership ability. College and graduate student Counselor's compensation is between $1,000 and $1,150. Director's and Teacher's compensation is between $1,250 and $1,400 based on their experience and background for the 35 (9 hour day) summer season.
