African American Living History Tour
As One of Two events of AAMAN’s Annual Citywide Juneteenth Celebration, the first event will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 and co-sponsored by the Enduring Families Project. The first event is an African-American Living History Tour. The second event is the Juneteenth Celebration held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the South Side Neighborhood Center and Poage Park from 12-noon to 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday, June 23, 2018 take a Historical Journey and learn about early African American residents of La Crosse… where they lived and worked… by taking this Living Historic bus tour. Re-enactors will be at each location to bring to life, stories of these previously unknown early African-American settlers of La Crosse. The Tour Bus seats 24 passengers.
Starting from Poage Park, and touring through downtown La Crosse, you will see homes and businesses of early African Americans and other people of color. Re-enactors will be at each location to bring to life, the stories of this previously unknown African American settlers of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
There will be four 55-minute Tours:
- The first Tour departs at 12:00 p.m. and returns at 12:55 p.m. (24 Passengers)
- The second Tour departs at 1:10 p.m. and returns at 2:05 p.m. (24 Passengers)
- The third Tour departs at 2:20 p.m. and returns at 3:15 p.m. (24 Passengers)
- The fourth Tour departs at 3:30 p.m. and returns at 4:25 p.m. (24 Passengers)
The Departure and Return times are approximate. All efforts must be made to be punctual. This Tour is FREE and open to the Public. A Goodwill Donation is encouraged to cover expenses, such as bus rental, costumes, programs, etc. Make and send Donations Payable to:...................AAMAN...........................or make a Donate at the Tour.
